In 2021, Dearly Beloved Ceremonies was launched to support couples whose weddings had been delayed or postponed during the COVID shutdowns. What began as a practical solution during a time of uncertainty quickly grew into a trusted wedding officiant service, now serving couples in Toronto and across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
At its heart, Dearly Beloved Ceremonies is about creating wedding ceremonies that feel comfortable, personal, and genuine. From simple civil weddings to intimate micro-weddings and fully custom wedding ceremonies, each ceremony is approached with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail. There are no templates here—only thoughtfully crafted ceremonies that reflect each couple’s unique story.
Whether you’re planning a small ceremony at home, in a condo party room, at a restaurant, at my west-end chapel, or at a larger venue, Dearly Beloved Ceremonies offers calm guidance and steady support. As a result, you can begin your marriage feeling relaxed, confident, and ready to celebrate!
If you’re looking for a wedding officiant in Toronto who is genuine, experienced, and deeply committed to making you—and your guests—feel comfortable and cared for, you’re in the right place.
Great ceremonies begin with connection and communication. You deserve a wedding that reflects you, your love story, and your circumstances, and that starts with feeling heard and completely at ease throughout the process.
Since 2021, I’ve officiated Christian, mixed-faith, and secular wedding ceremonies in Toronto’s iconic venues: The Old Mill, The Gates of Guildwood, Hart House, Arts and Letters Club, Hotel X, Fantasy Farms, York Mills Gallery, One King West and many more. I’ve also led intimate ceremonies in parks, restaurants, photo studios, homes, York City Hall, and my own home chapel in Toronto’s West End.
With nearly 100 weddings performed over five years, I’ve supported couples with a wide range of love stories and circumstances, including language barriers, immigration timelines, blended families, and deeply emotional moments. These experiences have strengthened my ability to remain calm, adaptable, and compassionate—especially when it matters most.
My background in writing, editing, and education plays a central role in how I officiate weddings. As a skilled interviewer, I know how to ask thoughtful questions and truly listen. As an educator and experienced presenter, I bring clarity, confidence, and a natural presence to every ceremony. And as someone who understands people deeply, I’m able to read a room, honour family dynamics, and create ceremonies that feel natural, inclusive, and meaningful.
What sets me apart from many wedding officiants is my maturity, grounded presence, and respect for both value and budget. I understand what truly matters—and what doesn’t—and I guide couples with honesty and care.
Imagine a blend of quiet passion and dignified presence, paired with warmth, wit, and a gentle sense of humour. My goal is to be appropriately light when the moment allows, deeply touching when it matters most, and always honouring your love story and the people who share it with you.
Dearly Beloved Ceremonies is built on the belief that weddings should feel fun, magnetic, warm, and deeply comforting—not rushed, stressful, or impersonal.
Every ceremony is guided by confidence and passion, with a firm belief that no relationship is the same. I take the time to truly get to know my couples, their stories, and the people who matter most to them, ensuring each ceremony reflects the unique flavour of their partnership.
Some of the ceremonies I’m most proud of required exceptional sensitivity and care, including weddings following personal loss, weddings for couples who had been together for decades before marrying, celebrations involving blended families, and celebrations for Canadian newcomers. These moments deserve patience, awareness, and respect, and they’re approached with intention every time.
When you work with Dearly Beloved Ceremonies, you can expect:
Respect for value and budget
Adaptability and common sense
Cultural sensitivity and inclusivity
A calming, supportive presence throughout
Clear communication and attention to detail
An understanding of immigration and other legal circumstances
